Christmas is creeping up on us, and the PCA is already making plans for our annual Community Carols outside the Chimney House, followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the Exeter Street Hall.
We want to make this a really bumper year, so please tell all your friends about it. We would like to raise a bit of money to pay for the PCA’s running costs (which include the regular page in the Prestonville Friend, the upkeep of the noticeboards, and putting on our annual AGM), so we will be accepting donations and also running a raffle.
This Sunday the Boys’ Brigade will be at St. Luke’s to parade their flags and there will be an act of remembrance at 11am.
On Monday 11th November there will be a short service of remembrance in conjunction with the Prestonville Community Association at the Stanford Junior school memorial beginning at 10.45 followed by refreshments in the school.
Our next committee meeting will be in the Prestonville Arms on Wednesday 13th November, 7.30. Abby Hone, the Council’s Principal Transport Planner, will be coming along (8.30ish) to talk about plans to make Dyke Road friendlier for cyclists and people on foot between BHASVIC and Highcroft Villas. Please come along too if you’d like to talk about that or any other local matters.
If you’d like to bring anything to our attention beforehand, please leave a comment here or email info[at]prestonville.org.uk
