Anston House: 24 April Planning Committee

The Council’s Planning Committee meet tomorrow to decide on the Anston House development. The Planning Officers have recommended that the building goes ahead.

They’re under huge pressure to meet housing targets; but the fact that this site alone meets over 40% of the council’s annual housing target shows how densely this site is going to be developed. The Brighton Society and brightondeservesbetter.co.uk believe that the council have not properly considered alternatives to what will be one of the highest buildings in Brighton, which will cast significant shadows over Preston Park, especially during winter months.

Residents are attending the planning meeting. We’ll be meeting at 1.45pm at Hove Town Hall before the meeting at 2pm on Wednesday 24 April. Let us know if you’re coming, or if you need any help getting there.
