For the last 5 years, Hove Park has hosted parkrun every Saturday morning.
It’s a free, fun running event, organised entirely by volunteers and it’s for all ages and abilities. Thousands of people have taken part and it regularly attracts over 400 runners each week. It’s one of the truly inclusive sporting events in Brighton and Hove. To get a feel for the event, have a look at these recent event photos. The phenomenon of parkrun, which has spread throughout the UK and beyond, was featured recently in The Guardian.
Starting on 20th April, parkrun is coming to Preston Park. For the Prestonville community, this is right on our doorstep. To start running, all you’ll need is a barcode that is emailed to you when you register. Details here.
Warning: this could seriously affect your Saturday morning!
